Successfully Treating Urinary Tract Infections and Tumors in Children
A burning sensation or blood in the urine are signs that your child needs to see an urologist. At our program, highly trained pediatric urologists diagnose and treat stubborn infections and potentially dangerous malignancies.
We will sit down with you and your child to craft the best course of treatment, drawing, as needed, upon the wide-ranging medical expertise to be found on the campus of Tufts Children's Hospital and Tufts Medical Center. We will make sure to answer all your questions and explore all options your for both invasive and non-invasive treatments.
Conditions We Treat
Our doctors routinely treat hard-to-beat urinary tract infections, as well as infections that affect the bladder and the kidneys. We're also well-versed at removing kidney stones in youngsters, a problem on the rise amid climbing obesity rates. Working with oncologists and surgeons here at Tufts Medical Center, we remove or treat various malignancies, including testicular tumors, kidney tumors and varicocele, a tangle of blood vessels in the scrotum that can cause pain in the testes.
