Teens have health needs that are different from those of children or adults. If you are a parent, you know how difficult it can be to get your teen to open up about issues on sensitive topics, whether it is acne, substance use or reproductive health concerns. We work hard to develop the rapport and confidentiality necessary for frank and honest discussions.
Through Tufts Children's Hospital's Adolescent Health Service, teens and their parents will find a warm, welcoming and supportive environment here. Our doctors and health professionals are skilled at working with adolescents on a myriad of health issues and challenges, from maintaining healthy weights to substance abuse prevention and treatment
Ready to help
Our Adolescent Service offers the full gamut of health services for new patients ages 12-18, building long-term relationships that can extend into the college years to age 24. In addition to routine primary care, we also offer:
Our specialty clinics
Teens and young adults struggling with drug abuse can find help at our Opioid Dependence Treatment Program. Based in South Boston, we focus on helping patients 16-24 years-old overcome dependence with the combination of medication (Suboxone) and mental health consultation, including individual and group therapy. Our Adolescent Family Clinic helps support teen parents and their children, offering a family-oriented practice where the same doctor works with both parent and child. We have an onsite dietician who is available for counseling.
