The sound of your child’s voice is precious and one-of-a-kind. But when vocal problems arise, we can help. Our highly skilled team of voice and speech experts and ENT (ear, nose, throat) specialists diagnose and treat a wide array of vocal disorders, which may be distorting your child’s voice and speech abilities at a critical time in his or her development.
Every day we help children who suffer from voice disorders such as vocal nodules and cysts, chronic cough, vocal cord paralysis and reflux disease, to a name just a few. Our specialists enjoy working with children and are experienced and dedicated in caring for both children and their families.
You will find our clinic to be welcoming and friendly, and the warm environment is matched only by our team's skill and expertise, which is found only at a major medical center in Boston like Tufts Children's. During your visit, our speech pathologists will conduct complete voice and speech evaluations for your child. We'll also conduct a videolaryngoscopy, which will enable us to examine your child’s vocal cords in action to precisely diagnose the problem. Combining all these diagnostics into one visit is just one way we prioritize making treatment more convenient and less stressful for you and your child.
Finally, our team of doctors and clinicians from multiple specialties will craft a treatment plan for your child, which may cover vocal and speech therapy and in some cases surgery, as well as follow-up care.
